Red Door Ventures appoints new Managing Director

Kent joined the company in April 2016 as Finance Director and was responsible for the financial management of the company, playing a pivotal role in the success to date.

Lesley-Anne Alexander, CBE, Chair of Red Door Ventures comments, “We are delighted to have promoted Kent with his depth of knowledge and experience to lead Red Door Ventures forward in the next chapter of our journey. His vision and dedication will ensure that Red Door Ventures sets the standard for the new offering in the private rented sector. 

“I would also like to thank Chris Wood, who joined the company at its inception and led the company through its establishment and early growth. Both Kent and Chris have been instrumental in successfully launching our first developments. I am delighted that Chris will be staying on as a Non-Executive Director. ”

Kent has extensive experience in residential and commercial property development, working at Director level for civil engineering, utility contracting organisations and a national housebuilder. He has further developed his expertise in the private market rent sector and has gained valuable experience in the not for profit sector whilst working for housing associations.

Kent comments, “I am delighted to have been promoted to Managing Director of Red Door Ventures. It is extremely exciting times for the company with planning applications already submitted for a further 423 units and plans to provide 3,000 homes in the next ten years.

“Our vision is to provide high quality homes for private rent, run by a trustworthy, professional management services company. Each of our developments will be built close to exceptional communication links and will feature additional services and facilities to make time poor residents’ lives as easy as possible.”

Red Door Ventures has now completed its first two developments, The Tanneries in Stratford and Nelson Cottages in East Ham. Its third, Gregory House on Libra Road in Plaistow will launch in Spring 2017. The healthy pipeline of new developments across Newham will bring much needed new accommodation to help relieve the housing pressure in London.
