Newham, like the entire nation, has a large stock of Victorian and Edwardian terraced homes. These 'loved by leaky' properties are often poor performers in terms of energy, and are often overcrowded. 

Acting as innovators, Populo has developed the Great Green Loft model to deliver a larger than average loft conversion. This goes beyond 'permitted development', ie what you are allowed to build as an extension without needing planning permission. But the result will be two new full height double bedrooms together with a full height shower room, as well as improved energy performance from measures such as new windows. 

This creates valuable additional space while maintaining the street view. 

Currently Populo has a pilot project with planning permission, and we are working to secure funding to deliver this project.
