Women in Construction

Women remain under represented in construction, which should be addressed. Populo has many women employed in construction roles, but the they often find themselves the only woman on site meetings. 

Historically the industry was very male-dominated, but thankfully more women are looking at construction jobs as a career that will work for them for their whole lives. However institutional attitudes and behaviours remain an area that can benefit from change. At Populo we embrace the strengths women bring to construction and share positive experiences that encourage the next generation to feel comfortable that there is a role for them.
