Populo is working with a range of local authorities to develop a set of common Housing Frame Standards. These fix the engine of the house - the frame, foundations and machinery of the home, while leaving the facade to respond to local character. 
Fixing the process and a suite of products (frames) provides cost certainty and de-risks development, empowering councils to deliver housing on their own public sector land. This enables the process to be repeated continually, scaling up housing nationally.

Work is in place to develop the standards, with the next step to pilot these.
