Why rent with us
Shared Ownership
Populo has occasionally offers homes for Shared Ownership, with tenancies managed by Populo Homes. These homes are in our Fireman's Reach and The Eves developments, and we currently don't have plans to build more shared ownership properties.
On a shared ownership scheme you can purchase a portion of your home with a mortgage, and rent the remainder from us. This is helpful if you cannot afford all of the deposit and mortgage payments for a home that meets your needs.
Owners then own a share of the property and pay rent to Populo Homes on the rest. If your circumstances change you can buy further percentages of your home, a process called staircasing.
