Malcolm has spent most of his career working in affordable housing. He was Chief Executive of Home Group for 10 years and previously of PCHA (Genesis and now Notting Hill Genesis) and Warden. He was also Finance Director of Merseyside Improved Houses (now Riverside Housing Group) and an Assistant Director at the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. He has held various non-executive and advisory roles, including for Richmond Housing Partnership and Peabody, where he was Vice Chair. He was also Advisor to Savills Affordable Housing team. He has been Chair of Populo Homes since January 2020.
A finance and business improvement professional, with over twenty five years experience advising and operating at a senior executive level within the affordable housing sector.
Ross has over 40 years’ experience in social housing, including 15 years as a housing association Non-Executive Director. His brings to the Populo Homes Board expertise in housing policy and practice, performance improvement and innovation.. He also brings expertise as the lead author of Building Bridges: a guide to better partnership working between local authorities and housing associations (Chartered Institute of Housing 2017). He is a passionate advocate of resident involvement in housing association governance
Sandra has over 25 years' experience at director level in planning and regeneration, mainly in the public sector. She is currently Chair of the Board of Blueprint Regeneration, a partnership between Nottingham City Council and PrP Investments, and also a member of the Planning Committee of Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation. She has previously chaired the Planning Committee of Ebbsfleet Garden City, as well as the stakeholder forums for several major infrastructure projects including Bradwell B Power Station, the Stonehenge relief road, and Arundel A27 By-pass. She is a trustee of the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA).
