In practical terms, that means we’re seeking suppliers who understand our commitments to:

providing high quality homes, with attention to every detail
meeting or exceeding all green building standards, now and in the future – better for residents, better for our community
working safely and responsibly, paying staff a living wage
minimising disruption to Newham residents when building
looking after Newham’s heritage and creating green space
offering opportunities to Newham residents to build their skills
offering subcontracting opportunities to construction trades in Newham

We ask for high ethical standards from our suppliers; we want to offer the same to you. With that in mind, here’s what you can expect from us.

With that in mind, here’s what you can expect from us:

Transparency – we’ll be clear about our requirements and the terms and conditions of any contract
Timelines – we’ll stick to our procurement timetables and if in exceptional circumstances we can’t, we’ll let you know. We’ll also pay on time.
Trust – once you’re appointed, we won’t interfere: we’ll trust you to do your job and let us know of any issues.
